A man leads Tift County law enforcement officers on a two-county chase while pointing a gun at his own head. Deputies tried to stop 48-year-old Gordon Ray Harbin Wednesday, but he took off and stuck a gun to his head. They chased him for ten miles until he finally pulled over in Enigma. He kept the gun to his head, though, until the sheriff contacted his family who talked him in to surrendering. Harbin is now in the Tift County Jail facing several charges.
Another high speed chase down a dirt road in Worth County ends in a crash. A deputy tried to pull over the driver of a yellow Honda Prelude for speeding Wednesday. But the driver took off and led deputies on a chase through the backroads of Worth County. They finally crashed into a ditch on Gordy Lane.
The men got out and ran but investigators caught one of them, David Ricks. They're still looking for Rodney Shane Fulgum. Colquitt County investigators say Ricks and Fulgum broke into a house and stole the keys to the Prelude just hours before the chase.
