Albany - Westover High opens the 2008-2009 basketball season with a 61-43 win over Albany High Tuesday at the Indians Gym.
The Indians are 1-2 but head coach Archie Chatmon believes his team will learn from their second loss of the season.
The Albany High Squaws pulled out a thrilling win over Westover 34-33.
Amber Chatmon's basket with just under a minute to play tied the game.
Westover was running down the clock for a the game winning shot but turned the ball over.
Albany's Jasmine Myles was fouled going up for a layup at the buzzer and made the first free throw attempt with no time on the clock to win the game for the Squaws.
