ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Gas prices across Georgia have fallen to their lowest point in two years. Friday in Fitzgerald we found a gallon of regular unleaded for $1.67 at the Murphy USA.

The lower prices had cars and trucks lined up three and four deep at each pump. Many motorists said the cheaper prices will have them traveling this Thanksgiving but their plans would have changed if prices were as high as they were two months ago.

"Would have thought twice about it, um,hum," said Barbara Sutz.

"I would have thought twice definitely, more than twice about going. Now I can do more with my family," said Tonya Jones.

Fitzgerald's prices may be some of the lowest in the state. In Albany, AAA says the average is $1.92, but we've found it as low a $1.79. The state's average is $1.88 for a gallon of unleaded.
