Valdosta - The Valdosta State Lady Blazers basketball team used their patented defense to beat Albany State 52-43 Thursday at the VSU Complex.
Valdosta State forced Albany State into 28 turnovers and had 13 steals.
The Lady Rams were just as tough forcing 20 turnovers by the Lady Blazers in this defensive battle.
Brittany Hudson led VSU with 13 points off the bench.
Callie Hamilton led ASU with 11 points.
Valdosta State is 3-0 and Albany State is 0-2.
In Albany, Albany Tech beats Wallace Community College 84-72 Thursday afternoon.
Truett O'Neal led the Titans with 22 points and DeJuan Shannon had 20.
