Ashburn - After failing to make the state playoffs last year, the Turner County Rebels have bounced back in big fashion.
Turner County takes a 9-2 record to Columbus to battle region four champion Brookstone Friday night.
The Rebels lost their season opener to Worth County and then three weeks ago lost in overtime at Wilcox County for the region championship.
Coach Erik Soliday says his young team faces a big challenge tomorrow night but they have done a great job of not looking ahead anyone on their schedule.
Erik Soliday said. "These kids have really taken to heart one game at a time. They haven't looked ahead. They just work hard every day. Find a way to get better. Just the work habits this year has really amazed us."
Turner County tries to get into the state quarterfinals for the first time since 1992 when they play at Brookstone Friday night in Columbus.
