VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Senator Saxby Chambliss working overtime on the campaign trail makes a stop Valdosta.

Chambliss spoke to crowd of over 100 people from the courthouse steps. He stress that turnout would be very important to him winning the runoff on December second.

Chambliss believes that staying in one of Georgia's senatorial seat will keep Democrats from handing President Elect Barack Obama a blank check.

"Right now the Democrats have 58 votes," said Chambliss. "If they won this and Minnesota they would have 60 votes. So its critically important that we be the 41st vote and that way we could be sure Georgians could be heard."

If Democrats win both in Georgia and Minnesota they will control of both the house and Senate as well as the Presidency.
