Albany - Deerfield-Windsor fullback Quinton Adkins is this week's Orthopaedic Associates Albany Area Player of the Week winner.

Adkins is the unsung hero in the Knights offense.

He is the go to back when Deerfield-Winsdor gets in the red zone and he clears the way for the big play backs Tony Zenon and Andy Clack.

Quinton is proud when he sees Zenon and Clack break long touchdown runs and is happy when he gets his rare chance to carry the football.

Quinton Adkins said. "Anytime they need me to do that. That is what my primary job is to be a blocker. I get rewarded sometimes by hitting up the middle and making some touchdowns. That is my reward for blocking and things."

Deerfield-Windsor hosts Tattnall Square in the GISA AAA semifinals on Friday.
