VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - City council members in the city of Remerton believes its alcohol ordinance needs to be revised.

And the city is holding a town hall meeting to get the opinions of citizens, patrons, and the owners of bars located in the city.

The meeting will have discussions of closing bars an hour earlier, security cameras requirements, and specific rules for consumption on premises.

"Our old ordinance needs to be updated. Its needed to be updated for several years. So they are looking for input of current licence holders and citizens of the city," said Remerton City Manager Brian McDougal.

The town hall meeting is set for at seven at the Remerton City Hall.
