Valdosta - 13th ranked Valdosta State is playing not only for a spot in the regional finals this weekend.
The Blazers are also playing for some revenge.
The defending Division II national champions are on the road Saturday at 5th ranked North Alabama in round two of the DII playoffs.
The Lions roared to 21-0 lead over the Blazer and held on for a 41-23 win Florence four weeks ago.
This is the third time in the last four years that these two teams have met in the playoffs.
VSU Head coach David Dean says coaches can sometimes second guess themselves too much when facing a conference rival two times in a season.
David Dean said. "Basically what you have got to do is go out and do what you do best. You have got to do the things that your players can do. Not try to overemphasize or over analyze game. Let's just go out and play our game and hopefully we can out execute them."
Saturday is the fourth time Valdosta State and North Alabama have met in the DII playoffs with the Lions winning two of the first three postseason games.
