ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police say four Albany men, all under the age of 21, have confessed to seven armed robberies over the last month in Albany.

Detective Eddie Jones said "They brandished handguns and robbed stores as well as people walking in parking lots."

Police say the four are Jonathan Jones, Brandon Douglas, Jim Mahone, and Kawaski Denson.

Police say November 3rd the four robbed a man in a parking lot on South Jefferson, and stole his car. They drove to Columbus, and committed another armed robbery. Then went to Montgomery, joining up with two other men, and committed four more armed robberies there before Police finally stopped their crime spree.

Jones said "They ended up getting in a car chase in Montgomery. Police officers then stopped the vehicle with the fourth, and then apprehended all six individuals. All six were not in the same vehicle."

Police say all four Albany men are being held in Montgomery for the armed robberies they confessed to there, and don't know when they will be brought back to Albany to face charges for the robberies here.
