ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany city commissioner wants you to keep your guard up during the holidays. Mayor Pro Tem Jon Howard says criminals are on the prowl this time of year. He wants everyone to keep a close eye on purses and wallets lock cars and homes and report any suspicious behavior to police.

Howard said, "We have to be vigilant that there are scam artists and other individuals that prey especially on senior citizens and women also."

Howard is hosting a town hall meeting on holiday safety this Saturday at 10 AM at the East Albany Community Center on Oglethorpe Boulevard.
