Albany - They have won a region and district title on their home field.
Now the unbeaten and number one ranked Darton women will have travel across the country to win their first ever National Junior College soccer championship.
The Lady Cavaliers held their final practice of the season in Albany today.
After which, a big and noisy crowd of fans were gathered to give the top seed Darton women a big sendoff before the team heads for Arizona early tomorrow morning.
The players got some words of encouragement from Darton president Peter Sireno and received some good luck travel bags with food and games for their trip.
Sophomore Rachael McQuade said. "Having all the fans out from the school. The school is really behind us. It really means a lot to all of the girls."
Sophomore Stephanie Daniels said. "I really appreciate it. All the girls do too. It is nice we have the community behind us."
Darton will play Anne Arundel Community College Thursday at 6:30 p.m. eastern in Chandler, Arizona.
