Valdosta, GA (WALB) -

The Valdosta State football team has only lost two games this season. The most recent loss was a 23-41 decision on the road against North Alabama.

Saturday will present the Blazers with an opportunity for redemption.

After edging out Carson-Newman in the first round of the playoffs Valdosta State will travel to North Alabama for the second round.

When the two schools met up October 25th North Alabama used a couple of Blazer turnovers to jump out to an early lead.

Head Coach David Dean feels that his team can compete with North Alabama if they limit their mistakes.

"The last time we played them we gave them 14 points right off the bat. We were down 14 to nothing and then we pretty much played a 27-23 game. They're a very opportunistic football team. If you give them breaks they're gonna take advantage of it" said Dean.

Valdosta State and North Alabama will kick off at 1:00 eastern in Florence Saturday.
