ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If you've filled up lately you've probably noticed the dramatic drop in gas prices.

As the country's economy worsens, drivers are getting some welcome relief at the pumps.

The price of gas fell overnight for the 60th consecutive day, dropping the national average to $2.10.

In Albany it's under two dollars in many places.

According to Triple-A it's been two years since gas prices were this low.

Drivers who were pumping $4 gas not too long ago say they're thrilled about the lower prices.

"I'm tickled it's just a little bit less I'm spending on gas, it gives me a little more for the groceries and you know buy some clothes, maybe we can have Christmas this year instead of buying gas," said Charity Smith, Motorist.

There are now 16 states where the average price has fallen below $2.

According to Triple-A, Georgia's average is $1.98, the same as Valdosta's.

Albany's Average is $2 a gallon for regular.
