(Albany-AP) -- Jonathan Sello returned an interception 60 yards for one touchdown as West Georgia turned to its defense to down Albany State 32-to-29 today. West Georgia's defense came up with four fumble recoveries in addition to two interceptions.
Their offense was outgained 312-to-185 yards. West Georgia built a 32-to-15 lead on a 42-yard field goal from Clay Robertson. But then the Golden Rams closed the margin with two touchdowns in the final four minutes and 21 seconds.
That wasn't quite enough though.
Daetwan Wells also came up with an interception and ran it in 15 yards for a touchdown for West Georgia. Sterlin Jenkins scored two of Albany State's touchdowns on runs of two and 20 yards.
