ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany woman was shot Friday morning while walking on an East Albany street.
She is recovering as the search for the gunman continues.
36 year old Christa Gilley told Police that she was walking on Acorn Street about 9:30, when a man came up and started talking to her, then fired a shot in the air.
Gilley walked away and said the gunman then shot her in her left leg. She was treated at a local hospital and released.
Police say the gunman is black, about 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-6 or 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds.
