ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Americus Police have released more information about a wanted man the Sumter Sheriff's Office called armed and dangerous.

Fifty-year-old Alfred Glover is wanted for two recent burglaries at the Americus Shopper and Sumter Electric.

Thursday, the Sheriff's office described Glover as armed and dangerous but Americus Police wouldn't talk to us about Glover. Friday, they said they don't think he's a danger to the public.

They describe him as a career criminal who's also wanted for an outstanding probation and parole warrant.

He's 5 foot 11, with brown hair and green eyes. He weighs about 175-pounds. If you've seen Glover, call the Sumter County Sheriff's Office at 229-924-4094.
