Worth County Senior Jerome Hamilton has signed a letter of intent to play division one basketball with Wichita State University in Kansas.
Wichita State went to the Sweet 16 in 2006 and Hamilton is looking forward to the competition he will face in the Missouri Valley.
But right now the 6 foot 7 inch forward is just focused on his senior season with Worth County.
"This season I want to be a leader just lead the team. If I can get a championship I want that, but if not I'll accept it."
According to a release from the University Hamilton averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds last year with the Rams.
Worth County will open the season next Friday on the road against Thomas County Central. Tip off is at 6:00.
