Frankfort, Ky. - Albany State's Rachell Anderson has been named the most valuable player by SIAC volleyball coaches.
Anderson and setter Carolina Ribeiro were named to the first team all-conference.
Davisha Moore made the second team.
Albany State coach Robert Skinner somehow did not win the coach of the year award after leading the Lady Rams volleyball team to a 27-3 record.
Lady Rams are going for an 8th straight SIAC title at the conference volleyball tournament that began Wednesday at Kentucky State.
Albany State won their first match 3-0 over Paine College Wednesday and play Claflin on Thursday.
