THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Pawn Shops in Thomasville say gun sales skyrocketed after last Tuesday's Election.

American Pawn Inc. saw a 20 percent spike last week. They say the surge has to do with President-Elect Barack Obama.

Customers say they're afraid the Obama administration will tighten gun control.

"Ammo, the sales of ammo has increased, clips, and assault weapons that during the Clinton presidency were banned for awhile that became very hard to get but as long as you had them, you obviously had the right to keep them," says Manager Rocky Hufstetler.

He says they're enjoying the sales increase now but are afraid of how changes in the White House may affect business in the future. Feedback
