The Valdosta State Blazers' quest to defend their 2007 National Championship will start Saturday in Valdosta.
VSU learned it will host Carson-Newman in the first round of the Division II football playoffs.
The Blazers have been seeded No. 3 in the Super Region Two bracket, while Carson Newman is seeded No. 6.
Carson Newman (7-3) finished second in the South Atlantic Conference.
The Eagles were ranked number 4 in last week's super regional poll but dropped to the 6 seed after a 1 point loss to Tusculum College.
The winner of the game will face second-seeded North Alabama in Florence on Saturday, November 22.
According to a statement from the VSU athletic department, tickets will first be made available to season ticket holders starting at 9:00 Monday, November 10 until 5:00 Wednesday, November 12. After the deadline any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public.
Kick off for Saturday's game is 1:00 at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium
