MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - It's been a rough couple of days, but people in the city of Moultrie now have running water again.
Water service was restored to customers Friday night, but the boil water advisoryis still in effect. Other uses of water besides consumption are now permitted again.
The city is asking residents to create a water supply for personal use by bringing water to a rolling boil for two minutes. Timing starts when the water starts to bubble.
Thousands of homes and dozens of businesses were without water Thursday and Friday after a crack in a water main caused a huge leak draining the city's holding tanks.
