Albany - The Brooks County Trojans had already wrapped up the 1-AA region title but they did not overlook their regular season finale against Albany High.
Trojans jump out to a 42-6 halftime lead over the Indians and post a 43-12 victory at Hugh Mills Stadium Thursday.
Albany High scored first.
The Tribe stopped Brooks County on a fake punt.
The Indians then converted on fourth and ten with quarterback Barry Diamond throwing a 21-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Jordan.
The point after was blocked.
It didn't matter.
Brooks quarterback Jeremy Cody took an option keeper 70 yards on the next Trojan possession for a touchdown and 8-6 lead.
An eight-yard touchdown run by Cody increased the lead to 16-6.
Running back Keith Christopher then took over.
Christopher's 47-yard run on the Trojans next possession led to the first two of straight touchdown runs for Christopher.
Brooks County is 9-1 and will host Tattnall County in the first round of the AA playoffs next week.
Albany High finishes the season 2-8.
