Albany - The top ranked Darton women's soccer tournament is hoping home field advantage will help them get back to the national tournament for the first time in three years.
Darton is hosting the three team district tournament for the first time.
After beating Truett-McConnell and Young Harris in the region finals last weekend, the Lady Cavs have to win two more matches in two days to reach their goal.
Last year, Darton lost to Polk Community College in the district finals down in Lakeland.
The Lady Cavs got some revenge by beating Polk by a goal in a postseason tuneup match last month.
Darton women's soccer coach Ken Veilands said. "I feel like we have deserved it. Of course we have to win to get there but we are good enough. All of these teams have been good enough. It has just been the path we take. We are going to push for it."
Darton plays Polk Community College Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Soccer Complex.
The winner plays Shelton State on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for a berth in the National Junior College Women's Soccer tournament.
