Shellman - The playoffs start in two of three GISA classifications Friday night.

However, the regular season still has one more week in class A.

The big game in class A is in Shellman where Randolph Southern hosts Terrell Academy for the region title.

This is a milestone game for Randolph Southern.

The Patriots have had their first winning season since starting their football program in 2003.

The man who has led this turnaround in Shellman is former Lee County coach Tim Goodin.

He knows a win over the number one and rival Eagles would be a big step forward in moving Randolph-Southern to its goal of becoming a state champion.

Tim Goodin said "We have built a pretty good program. The weight room has helped a lot. The kids have gotten a lot stronger and they have bought in to what I have tried to sell them I guess."

Terrrell Academy head coach Bill Murdock said "We watched them on film and they have been really good offensively all year. Since game two they have probably improved on defense as much as team we will see."

Game time is 8:00 p.m. Friday night in Shellman between Randolph-Southern and Terrell Academy.
