Albany - The higher security alert hasn't forced changes at Southwest Georgia Regional Airport. But, there are fewer flights than usual.

In July, Delta/ASA decided to cut back flights from September 10th through the 12th because of slow ticket sales. Two of the four daily flights in Albany were canceled. The remaining two flights should come and go on schedule Wednesday.

"Until I hear differently from the Transportation Security Agency, flights will run as usual," said Richard Howell, Airport Director. Passengers should call before leaving for the airport, just to make sure their flights haven't been canceled.
