ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany police are looking for Allen Wade Robinson in connection with the fatal stabbing of his former girlfriend.
In front of witnesses, police say Robinson stabbed 30-year-old Rashonda Dowell.
She died from her injuries at the hospital.
Police sources say he snatched her out of her car, apparently in the parking lot of the Pic-N-Sav, next door to the Heritage Bank on Loftus Drive.
He's in a 1996 Silver Cadillac Deville, Tag # 3424 AGF.
Robinson was fired from the Sheriff's office after his previous arrest on a domestic charge.
The victim had just taken a temporary protective order on him last week.
"Right now the vehicle description is sketchy but we do have it as a silver, possibly metallic or purple Cadillac Deville," said APD's Phyllis Banks-Whitley. He may have since switched vehicles.
He's a tall dark skinned black male, with a bald head last seen wearing a black jogging suit.
Police say if you see him to make sure you give them a call.
"Officers are trying to talk to all of the witnesses and get all of their information together and a number of witnesses have been transported to the LEC for questioning," said Banks-Whitley.
Robinson was arrested twice last month, once for battery charges stemming from a September 30th incident. A couple of days later, he was back in jail for violating a protective order and contacting the victim.
Robinson was fired from his job as a detention officer with the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office following his previous arrest.
