ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The driver of a tractor trailer was killed Wednesday afternoon when the truck he was driving overturned in Worth County.

The Industrial Lumber Sales tractor trailer was headed South on Highway 33 in Worth County around two o'clock.

The driver apparently ran off the side of the road, over corrected, and flipped.

The driver was killed.

Two by six pieces of cut wood were scattered along the roadway and on the side of the road.

"There was an eyewitness that was traveling North that saw him, but the only thing he observed is what I just told you, so there was no other vehicle or anyone involved in the accident," said GSP Trooper Andrew McKenzie.

First responders told us the driver was not wearing a seat belt. Troopers have not released the driver's name yet.
