SUMNER, GA (WALB) - Investigators are questioning someone right now in connection with a murder in Worth County. The body of 52-year-old Joseph Milton Sumner III was found by his mother in his home at 507 Joe Sumner Road Monday.

Investigators issued a lookout for 27-year old Lisa Marie Wade, his live-in girlfriend. She was driving a tan two-door Nissan Frontier. We do know authorities found that truck in Berrien County and are interviewing a person of interest who was in that truck.

They won't confirm that person's identity or a motive for the crime, but they will look into police records as part of the investigation.

"We have not accessed the records at the Worth County Sheriff's office. We will. We will talk to deputies and the Sheriff Freddie Tompkins. And we will a certain if there was any history of domestic violence at this location," said G.B.I. Special Agent In-Charge, Mark Pro.

Investigators are not sure how long Sumner has been dead. They're asking anyone who may have had contact with him since Friday to call the Worth County Sheriff's office at 229-776-8211.
