VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The army has a new recruiting tool in Valdosta.

Staff Seargent Kevin Hunter joined the army at the recruiting office in Valdosta back in 2003.

He has since served at Fort Stewart and in Iraq.

Now, he requested to serve in his home town.

"It's great to be back home, get out in the community, show some of these kids what I've done, what I've accomplished and get them to join as well," says SSgt Kevin Hunter.

"He's from the community, he graduated from Lowndes High School. Now they can look at what he's done in the past five years, look at what he's accomplished," adds Sgt. 1st Class Michael Wiggins.

Station Commander Michael Wiggins also enlisted in Valdosta and returned home to recruit others throughout the area.
