Vikings ready for road test at Coffee

October 30, 2008

Valdosta -  The goal for number one Lowndes every year is to win the state championship.

It may be harder though to win the region title in very tough 1-AAAAA.

The Vikings can clinch a fourth region title in the last five years with a win tomorrow night.

That win will not be easy.

Lowndes travels to Douglas to play a Coffee High team that is also in the hunt for a region title. Trojans almost knocked off Northside at Jardine Stadium three weeks ago.

Lowndes coach Randy McPherson knows Coffee is going to be ready to end his team's 22 game winning streak.

McPherson said. "It is hard to win a region title in this region. We just have to go out and play well. They have got a great team. We have got to execute."

Game time is 8:00 p.m. Friday night at Jardine Stadium in Douglas.
