(Valdosta-AP) -- Buster Faulkner threw three touchdown passes to lead Valdosta State to a 32-to-6 victory over Fort Valley State Saturday. Faulkner finished 19-of-33 for 217 yards for the Blazers (2-0), who were ranked third in the latest Division Two poll. He threw a 36-yard scoring toss to Dantra Clements in the second quarter to give Valdosta State a 9-to-6 lead, and he added TD passes to Greg Lofton and Reggie Mosley in the third quarter.
The Wildcats (1-1) took a 6-to-2 lead when Duron Croson scored on 45 yard touchdown run. Croson also ran for 66 yards on 16 carries. The teams combined for eleven turnovers, including six by Fort Valley State.
