Valdosta - Valdosta State has won two national championships.
Those feats may pale compared to what the Blazers will face in the next five days.
Valdosta State will play two games between now and Monday night.
The Blazers host winless West Georgia Thursday night and then make up the Southern Arkansas game that was postponed in September due to Hurricane Ike.
After last week's loss at North Alabama, the Blazers know they have to win both games in order to insure they will make the DII playoffs.
Valdosta State head coach David Dean said "I think our guys have been focused this week. I think they are ready to play. They know they it is basically a do or die situation. The only people we can control is ourselves. If we play well and win our last two ball games, we feel like we are going to be in the playoffs."
Valdosta State has won seven of eight from West Georgia.
Game time is at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
