Albany man's body sent to GBI Crime Lab

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County Coroner says they do not believe a man found dead inside an East Albany home was a homicide victim.

But Police sent the body of the man to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta today for an autopsy.

Police have now identified the dead man as 46 year old Benjamin Brown. He was found inside an apartment in the 1200 block of East First Avenue early Tuesday morning. The coroner says Investigators found no evidence of foul play, but now await toxocology reports from the crime lab to find out how he died.
