September 6, 2002

Albany- The sirens will be used next Wednesday, so that the entire city will be able to hear "Taps" being played on the September 11th anniversary. During the test, bells rang and "Taps" was played at fourteen different sites.

Communications Director, Charles Callahan, says this test will make sure everything runs smoothly next week. Callahan says, "It's a matter of honoring those who died and honoring what happened that day and being in remembrance and always vigilant of what's going on around us."

The test lasted for about ten minutes.
