Albany - Sherwood Christian can play the role of spoiler when they host Southwest Georgia Friday night.

The Eagles have a different motivation for wanting to beat the Warriors.

A victory by Sherwood Christian could give Tiftarea the GISA 3-AA region title if the Panthers beat Valwood in their regular season game.

Sherwood Christian would also finish third in the region and avoid having to play top ranked Memorial Day in the first round of the state playoffs next week.

Eagles coach Rock Knapp says a win will give his team something Sherwood Christian has never had in 23 years of football -a winning season.

Rock Knapp said. "Just because of what it does for you going into the offseason. The pysche of the kids going into the offseason. Building the program from the younger grades up and the kids wanting to be part of a winner."
