ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man who slammed into a tractor trailer rig last night is now charged with DUI.

Police say 51-year old Leonard Hart ran the stop sign at Moultrie Road and Mercantile Drive last night.

His pickup truck hit a semi-truck driven by Christopher Dozier of Dothan, Alabama.

Hart was taken to the hospital for treatment and then charged with D-U-I, Open Container, and stop sign violations.

The truck driver was not injured.
