ALBANY, GA (WALB) - First responders often get hot while responding to calls. Now, the Southwest Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross hopes to capture that heat for a 2009 First Responders calendar.
Next Tuesday and Thursday model auditions will be open to all area police, fire, and EMS employees. The red cross board plans to showcase the brave and good-looking men and women in a calendar to raise money for the organization.
Kathryn McPhail said, "Let's have a little fun with this. Let's hold auditions next week, let's pick the 12 best looking men and women who serve in fire, police, EMS, Sheriff's Departments from all of our area counties and then let's just highlight them and, of course, they will get some much deserved credit and then all of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross."
The auditions will take place at the Bridge House next week on Tuesday, October 28, 2009 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 10:00am-12:00noon .
The Red Cross First Responders Calendar will be available just in time for the holidays.
