Tifton- The suspected murderer of a man shot in his Tifton neighborhood turned himself into police this morning.

26-year-old Cory Dennard was shot at the corner of Alder Street and Ermine Avenue last Wednesday night. Several witnesses identified neigbor Lorenzo Johnson as the shooter.

After a week long search he showed up at the Tifton Police Department Wednesday morning and turned himself in without incident. He's charged with murder and is being held at the Tift County Jail. Witnesses say the two men were friends but got into an argument before Johnson shot Dennard five times in the head, chest and arms.
