Tifton - One of the biggest games on the high school football schedule this week happens on Thursday night.

Tift County heads to Warner Robins to battle two time AAAA state champion Northside Warner Robins.

This is a big game because the Devils, Eagles and Coffee High Trojans are all sitting in second place with one region loss.

The winner of this game will stay on the heels of first place Lowndes and for a first round home playoff game.

Tift County head coach Jay Walls knows beating Northside in Warner Robins is going to require a big effort from his Blue Devils who are coming off a bye week.

Walls said. "We are going to have play really well and stop their running game. I think that is a big key. Offensively, we have got to be able to run the football and throw the football and balanced. We can't turn the ball over. If we give them any fire, anything to build on. We are going to have problems."

Tift County plays at Northside-Warner Robins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
