ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Hundreds of nursing students are in Albany preparing for a big test. Dozens of nursing students in white uniforms were in downtown Albany Monday.

They are participating in a conference led by the Georgia Licensed practical nurses association.  It's to help them pass their nursing boards.

This group is from Flint River Technical College in Thomaston, Georgia. While on break from class, they joked that the sick in Albany should have no fears this week. Rosie Hooks said, "Oh, we're going to run straight to them." So people in Albany are a little safer this week? "Yes, they are."

The convention runs through Friday.
