ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany police officer was taken to the hospital after being involved in a wreck.
Around 2:20 Monday afternoon, Lt. Wendy Luster was making a left turn onto Jefferson Street from Newton Road, when a Gold Lexus driven by 64-year old Robert Graper of Albany, ran the red light at that intersection and hit her police cruiser on the driver's side.
Lt. Luster was taken to the hospital for minor injuries but is expected to be okay. Charges are pending against Graper.
