Georgia ready for the stretch drive

October 20, 2008

Athens - 9th ranked Georgia is preparing for a two game stretch in may determine whether the Bulldogs play for an SEC championship.

The Bulldogs play at LSU this Saturday and face rival Florida in Jacksonville the next week.

eorgia running back Knowshon Moreno's week has gotten off to a good start.

Moreno is the SEC's offensive player of the week.

Moreno earns the award for a second time this season after rushing for 172 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs homecoming win over Vanderbilt.

Georgia leads the SEC in total offense but the Bulldogs have struggled to put the football in the endzone in their last two games. Something Moreno knows has to change before the Bulldogs arrive in Baton Rouge.

Knowshon Moreno said "It is not going to get any easier at LSU next week. We have got to get re-focused and get back to work."

Georgia plays at LSU this Saturday at 3:30 p.m..
