Emergency management representatives from all over Georgia came together last week to form Saxby Chambliss' first Homeland Security Advisory Committee.

The group is composed of Georgia law enforcement officials, EMS workers, firefighters, and other public safety officials. They met Friday in Forsyth to discuss security measures to combat future terrorists attacks.

Lowndes County EMS Director Tim Brogdon serves on the committee, and says Chambliss couldn't have picked a better group of representatives.

"The individuals he's selected make up a good cross-trained group that's highly skilled in terrorism and homeland security," said Brogdon.

The committee's next meeting will be in October.
