ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton College students are collecting food for South Georgians in need, and having a blast doing it. And they are inviting the entire community to come take part.

FoodStock 2008 is underway on the Darton College campus. It's the tenth year that Darton students are collecting canned food items for the

Food Bank of Southwest Georgia and other charitable organizations in Albany.

Students enjoyed music and lunch together. They are sellling T-Shirts, and even have a dunking booth where you can soak the Presidential Candidate of your choice for a donation.

The students say they don't have a lot, but they are gladly giving what they can.

Darton College freshman Gilbert Ruiz said "Everybody is doing it together. And the whole school is trying to help out. So I think it's going to help."

Thursday night the entire community is invited to help Foodstock at Darton College. Local musicians are playing  at the college's Tennis Pavalion. They ask you bring five canned food items to donate.
