VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The mascot for a Valdosta restaurant has been kidnappe, and the owners are offering a reward to get him back.

Slap Daddy was stolen last week. The 6 foot 4 plywood chef was ripped off the side of Slap Daddy's restaurant, which hasn't even opened their doors for business.

The owners say he was put up on Thursday, and Friday morning he was gone.

"They came and took him off the wall, ripped the stucco off, absconded with one of them. The other one they tried to get off but someone must have scared them away because it was half torn off," says Slap daddy co-owner Bob Braybrooks.

The mascot who was left behind is now hiding safely inside the restaurant.

They are offering a $250 reward for the other's safe return, hopefully before they open this weekend.
