Albany - A conference championship and playoff berth are on the line Saturday for the Albany State football team.
The Rams are on the road for a big SIAC showdown with Tuskegee.
The Tigers have won 22 straight games.
If the Rams break that streak, they will create a tie in the SIAC standings.
A loss would not only knock Albany State out of the SIAC race but maybe the Division II playoffs.
Albany State head coach Mike White knows the stakes are big and beating the Tigers is not going to be easy.
Mike White said. "They're a good football team, they're not gonna beat themselves. You gonna have to go in there and push them around and make plays so we think we're up to the challenge."
Albany State is ranked eighth in the second NCAA DII South regional poll.
They are one spot behind Benedict.
The top six will earn playoff bids at the end of the season but if they playoffs started this week Benedict would move up to sixth since they are the highest rated SIAC team and are in the top ten.
