IRWIN COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Some employees at a South Georgia prison are being investigated. And those workers are now on administrative leave.

Three Irwin County detention workers have been out of work since October third after allegations were made against them by another employee.

Director Michael Croft immediately put the workers on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Croft would not comment on the details of the investigation or who is involved because it is still ongoing. He only said that the GBI would not be involved because it is not criminal investigation.
