Troopers say argument caused fatal accident

TIFT COUNTY, GA (WALB) - One man was killed and a teenager hospitalized after state troopers say an argument behind the wheel lead to an accident.

After midnight 17-year-old Rebecca Worth and 20-year-old Shawn Martinez were heading North on I-75 near Tifton.

Troopers say they were arguing when Martinez grabbed the steering wheel from Worth causing them to drive off the road and flip several times around exit 71.

Martinez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the car and killed instantly. Worth was taken to Tift Regional Medical Center where she is listed in fair condition Sunday night.

The wreck is still under investigation.
