Albany--Albany's old federal courthouse will soon be on the auction block.

At least five interested buyers took a tour of the historic building on West Broad Avenue downtown. The 90 year old building still has its original marble floors and ornate ceilings. The courthouse is listed as a historic building.

Reality Specialist LeRay McBay says, "There will be historic covenants indeed. That means the facade part and anything you do too the building you need to get the okay of the state historic preservation officer."

Auctioneers do not know how much the courthouse is worth, although similar buildings in smaller towns have gone for around 300,000 dollars. The auction will be on the courthouse steps October 10th at 10 a.m.
